Our journey to Siquijor, for Leon & Laura's wedding, had its number of challenges what with the typhoon the day prior but on the day of the wedding, the clear skies was a total blessing. Leon & Laura wanted a no-fuss ceremony — no aisle with decorations, no grand entrance, no proper seats. Everyone was seated on mats & pillows scattered about. The bride had a simple walk on the left side, under the trees and barefoot at that. What made this ceremony even more special? The groom’s party visited us while setting up and offered to carry all the driftwood logs from the shore to be used as back rests. We wish all weddings were like this — just a day to enjoy with good company and none of that staged scenes for photos.
